Quick & Easy Valentine Chocolate Bark

  • Prep Your Baking Sheet: Line your baking sheet with parchment paper. This keeps your chocolate bark from sticking and makes clean-up a breeze.

  • Chop and Melt the Chocolate: Roughly chop the chocolate into small pieces – this helps it melt evenly. Melt your milk chocolate and white chocolate separately. You can use the microwave, heating in 30-second bursts and stirring in between, or melt it over a double boiler, stirring constantly.

  • Spread the Chocolate: Pour the melted milk chocolate onto your prepared baking sheet, spreading it out into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick. Drizzle the white chocolate over the milk chocolate in random patterns. Then, with a toothpick or the tip of a knife, swirl the white chocolate into the milk chocolate to create a marbled effect.

  • Add Toppings: Sprinkle your Valentine’s themed toppings – sprinkles, crushed candies, and dried cranberries – over the chocolate while it’s still warm. Gently press larger pieces into the chocolate so they stick. If you’re using sea salt, now’s the time to add a light sprinkle.

  • Let It Set: Allow the chocolate bark to cool and harden. You can leave it at room temperature or speed up the process by placing the baking sheet in the refrigerator.

  • Break Into Pieces: Once your bark is set and hard, break it into irregular pieces. You can make them as big or as small as you like.

  • Enjoy or Gift: Serve your Valentine’s Chocolate Bark as a sweet treat, or pack it up as adorable gifts. Just place pieces in a cellophane bag or a cute box, tie it with a ribbon, and you’ve got a cute homemade Valentine’s gift.
